2020 Silverado Heavy Duty Model Review

The All-New Silverado HD offers two impressive engines designed to meet the demands of heavy-duty truck customers. The all-new 6.6L V8 gas engine features an upgraded 6-speed automatic transmission with 401 horsepower and 464 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine is designed with a cast-iron engine block for durability. The available Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 has an all-new Allision 10-speed automatic transmission for superior power. In fact, this engine has a whopping 445 horsepower and 910 lb.-ft. of torque along with its legendary Duramax power and dependability.

The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD was designed to tow heavy loads with ease. The 2500 Silverado Crew Cab has a maximum towing of 18,500 lbs. The maximum gooseneck towing capability increases by 51% to a segment-leading 35,500 pounds. This makes the 2020 Silverado HD the most capable truck in the HD segment.

Chevrolet understands the heavy duty truck owners need functional cargo room, which is why they designed the Durabed in the all-new Silverado HD. Made with high-strength steel, the bed features 12 standard tie-downs, LED cargo area lighting, a built-in 120-volt outlet, and a larger cornerstep to get in and out easily. You’ll have no problem fitting all of your gear in the all new Chevrolet Silverado HD.

The 2020 Silverado HD has a one-of-a-kind look with its aggressive styling. The large metal looking rail carries the Chevrolet lettering on the front of the truck and looks to drop the bowtie from the front grille. The result? The Silverado HD gets a much more modern look with chiseled finishes.

The 2020 Silverado HD is expected to look like the Silverado 1500 interior. Expect to get an additional 3 inches of legroom on Crew Cab models, as well as a taller seating position.
