2024 Raccoon Creek Bluegrass Festival Recap
No summer in Dallas, GA, is complete without attending the Annual Racoon Creek Bluegrass Festival, and this year, Hardy Chevrolet Buick GMC played a part as a proud sponsor of this exciting event. From the many talented artists to the delicious food and fun family atmosphere, our team had a blast at this two-day event on July 12 – 13, which has officially hit the half-of-century mark. Here’s a bit more about our experience at this spectacular spectacle:
Fantastic Food, Folks, and Entertainment in Dallas, GA
It was an excellent time for our team and the many attendees at the Raccoon Creek Bluegrass Festival. With plenty camped out to experience the live music from a dozen bands such as Old Mill Road, Georgia Bound, Creekwater Collective, and Doug Flowers Band, the atmosphere was filled with the rhythm of bluegrass, fun event T-shirts, and the glorious scent of bar-b-que and Brunswick stew that made our mouths water! At night, there was also a pretty cool light show that brightened up the Dallas sky, leaving the kiddos in the crowd in a state of awe.
Envisioning Chevy, Buick, and GMC Vehicles at the Festival and Beyond
Overall, it was a wonderful time, and while we were there, we couldn’t help but think of what types of Chevy and GMC trucks and SUVs we could match up for different uses at the event. For instance, for the large travel trailers present, we envisioned how easy it would be for a new GMC Sierra 3500 HD or Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD to do the job with their superior towing capacity and power. We also considered how much food could be transported in a GMC Savana Cargo Van to hungry feed attendees. Additionally, since we didn’t get to speak with everyone, we wondered how far some festival goers traveled to get to Dallas, GA, and how sightseeing in a Buick Envision SUV, with plenty of cargo space to bring along coolers and camping supplies or an off-road adventure in a GMC Hummer EV SUV could be fun on the way home.
